Sunday, December 31, 2006. One fish, two fish, Purple fish, blue fish. Well kind of green actually, but that didn't rhyme! These fish are on the same quilt as the purple ones. These are the positive shapes cut from the fabric around the purple fish. I hadn't actually planned to use them on this quilt, but they seemed to fit. I had to go and buy more shimmery paint for these! She is turning into a wonderful adult. SO here is my first sushi. Hope everyone has a happy new year! Friday, December 29, 2006.

Thursday, February 16, 2006. So, a couple of things have prompted the new blog. I had to move from the sunny msn space as I was running out of space to blog (hence the sparse nature of the entries in recent times, although you can view the exciting photos there still). As Ed and I were moving to Melbourne from sunny Sydney, we thought maybe we should have a new blog to reflect the new residence. We'd love for you to join us on this magic carpet ride in Melbourne (for at least a year). Stephenie in the UK.

Tuesday, August 29, 2006. Confirmed: Eleri does *not* enjoy being trapped in lifts. I was fairly certain I was scared of heights and I know I am nervous of small spaces. I put this down to hmmmm, no, no idea. Anyone? I do remember being bundled in a duvet by Laurence and a couple of his friends in Korea (I can’t quite remember why, but I am sure it seemed like a good idea at the time) and giggling like mad til I couldn’t breathe properly, but apart from that, just generally not good with confined spaces.

Wednesday, August 06, 2008. This is what I made on the weekend. Well, actually, the first photo is what I used to make the stuff in the later photos. They came from Sara's garden. Sara doesn't much like grapefruit. Nor marmalade. In fact, she thought these were lemons. We're past that now, and we know they're grapefruit. And then I waited for 24 hours while they soaked. And then there was boiling for an hour. After which, I was allowed to add the sugar. To 2 kilos of grapefruit! View my complete profile.

Thursday, December 21, 2006. Christmas Crackers and the jokes that lie within. Yeah, OK, I know that Australians call them "bonbons" (madness, I tell you). Now, Christmas crackers are a bit of a tradition. I had no idea where they came from until I started writing this post, but now know that they are a British tradition (hurrah! Anyway, more exciting historical information here. After you've read them, but the reaction is never. A laugh, and always a groan. Can cracker-makers not afford decent jokes?

Friday, April 28, 2006. Did I mention the extraordinary establishment at the end of the road where I work? It is called a Vibration Training Studio. Abbreviated catchily to The Vibra-Gym.
