Saturday, January 12, 2013. My week long cold has totally derailed my running. I only logged 8 miles (of my 1000 for the years) before succumbing to the plague. I rode the stationary bike at the gym this week for a half an hour and felt like crap afterwards. Now that the sunshine has hit Bellingham, I am itching to get outside and enjoy the nice weather. Monday, December 23, 2013. Not a Re-Cap, Not Really. And I am about to finish my first full year of working full-time as an attorney (and still loving it - phew! Working full-time with Mylo working part-time and doing his masters, has been a challenge and my goals. This year have accordingly suffered (more on that later - I hope). Instead of feeling bad about it, I am taking a deep breath and moving on, revising my goals for next year. Who cares if I didn't run 1000 miles? These three guys are the best.

Monday, June 4, 2012. Life, as of late . We took the fellas up to Mt. Baker for me to a do a practice run for my hike up the slopes for Ski to Sea. The boys all played in the snow while I strapped on my skis and hit the slopes. Saturday, February 1, 2014. 25k Into The Clouds. Last weekend I ran the Orcas 25k (just under 16 miles), up to the top of Mt. Constitution. It was lovely. Really hard, but lovely. The weather was perfect, the trails were amazing (with the exception of the 2 miles up the power-line ridge - imagine 2 miles straight up the side of a mountain), and the view at the top was simply breathtaking. Here are my mile-by-mile memories of the Orcas 25k:. Mile 1 - Uphill, right out of the gates. Advil Advil. Advil.
