Confetti particle effect in GameMaker. May 8, 2015. Since Ben was interested, here’s the confetti particle effect I used in Bunny Goes Boom. Nothing magical, just some colorful and wiggly rectangles. Here’s a sprite I used for this particular demo. Test room is set to 60FPS. Create Confetti Particle Type. Set random (randomizes image index) to TRUE here. Add some image angle wiggle (45). Depending on case of usage, add downwards gravity. Change values for wind or top-down camera. Let’s be friends!

Which at the first glance seems to have it all . Anyway, here’s a quick overview of all three tools (all for Windows OS). Doesn’t remember capture area size or FPS setting. FPS settings are fixed. No hardcoded FPS limit.
