Tennessee Volunteers Blog and whatever else I freaking feel like. Sunday, July 5, 2009. Sunday Quarterback Rumor Mill - Scroggins and Sims. So, it was a quiet Independence Day for the most part. Not a whole lot of news to blog about as most took some time off to enjoy the holiday. I hope both of you Vol Critic readers had a great weekend. While there isn't any real news to report, there were a couple of interesting rumors floating around recruiting circles on Sunday. Scroggins has said that he would not ...

Tennessee Volunteers Blog and whatever else I freaking feel like. Wednesday, July 1, 2009. Lane Kiffin and the case of Evan Berry. So, Tennessee headlines the national news again this week. Ho hum. Evan Berry, 13-year-old eighth grader to be, brother of current Tennessee star Eric Berry and son of former Vol James Berry, has committed to play his college football at Tennessee. It's the first commitment (and likely to be the only one for quite some time) of the 2013 class for Lane Kiffin and company.

The Vol Critic: Hungover in Knoxvlle - Tennessee Falls to Alabama 70-67
http://volcritic.blogspot.com/2009/03/hungover-in-knoxvlle-tennessee-falls-to.html
Tennessee Volunteers Blog and whatever else I freaking feel like. Sunday, March 8, 2009. Hungover in Knoxvlle - Tennessee Falls to Alabama 70-67. Excruciating. That's the word I would use to best describe today's 70-67 loss to Alabama. The three point prayer by Anthony Brock at the buzzer spoiled the Vols chances for 20 regular season wins. With about ten minutes to go in the first half, Wayne Chism motioned and pleaded to the students to get up and get loud. The response? On the positive side, I give pr...

The Quest for Liberty. Posted by Hayden Hodges 4:24 PM Arkansas. Okay, how cliche could we have been with the title of this one? The Quest for Liberty" - What? Wait, we are obsessing with Ole Miss who obsesses with our obsessing of them. It is a tangled, nutty weave, but we digress. Ryan Mallet's and D.J. Williams' names are being tossed around about leaving for The League. And even the brief talk of Bobby Petrino's departure for Florida with the brief resignation of Urban Myers. Move on. Red Cup Rebelli...

The Vol Critic: Montario Hardesty is a Brown
http://volcritic.blogspot.com/2010/04/montario-hardesty-is-brown.html
Tennessee Volunteers Blog and whatever else I freaking feel like. Saturday, April 24, 2010. Montario Hardesty is a Brown. With the 59th overall pick, the Cleveland Browns select. Montario Hardesty from the University of Tennessee. He may not be quite as popular as Eric Berry, but Montario Hardesty earned the respect and admiration of Tennessee fans with his play last season. I saw all 13 games and I thought Hardesty gave his all for Tennessee in every single game. He was a workhorse. It's a bit of a risk...

Approach has served Bruce Pearl well during his tenure at Tennessee. The Vols played their way to a No. 2 NCAA Tournament seed twice in Pearl's three trips to the Big Dance. Ark v Bama Running diary. Posted by JCK 8:39 PM 1 comments. Couple of quick notes - this is a rambling rant filled diary. I think I injured something diving headfirst back onto the Arkansas Basketball bandwagon. I’m not sure if it was my butt or my ego that got bruised but something down there sure is sore. How does a team go from from being publicly sodomized at Kentucky to first place in just a couple of weeks? So anyway my wife pre...

The Big Red Board: Arkansas Sports Blog: Oil of Olay
http://www.thebigredboard.com/2009/11/oil-of-olay.html
Posted by Hayden Hodges 2:20 PM Arkansas. Unbelievable. A great performance in Baton Rouge was dampened. By a last minute drive with some "home clocking," a bad dead ball call, a porous. Defense, and a missed field goal in overtime. Yes, the Hogs started off slow, but they played their hearts out down the stretch, which is about all that one can ask of them. Back off of Tejada. He does his best, but is that enough for you? Is it enough for the team? What else can be said? Darren McFadden: My Pitbulls.
