I always think of the Lakota chief Crazy Horse’s quote “today is a good day to die”, which is fitting since I actually drove by the battlefield where he was said to have uttered that phrase. Weather is warming up a bit, that’s good news. Snows leaving fast. We should be mostly clear in two weeks. That should give us about 4 good weeks on the trails. Hiking the 4000’s. April 18, 2015. Felt really strong today. Pawtuck is all clear for running. Did not get enough food. Tomorrow is a rest day and I plan on eating many things. Burpee (120 final count). Weighted squat (30lbs) (120). 20 situps every round (300). Breakfast – 2 cups coffee- 2 eggs fried, everything bagel with peanut butter. Hiking the 4000’s. Bring on the spring flooding. March 30, 2014. Ran two miles with Lise yesterday and it felt really good. Of course I coughed like a mofo the rest of the day but I suspect this may be how it is for a bit. Training starts again, 5 am Monday morning at Heaters house. She’s working a double Monday but wants to get a run in. Watched a film last night. The road. Talk about depressinggreat movie but ughhhh Check it out, but keep the Prozac handy. Newer post →.
