Wakati wa Chai: Planting Seeds

http://wakatiwachai.blogspot.com/2009/04/planting-seeds.html

Wednesday, April 8, 2009. The weeks are counting down. As most of you reading this blog have been following and supporting us since December…well, how can so much time go by so quickly? With so many great stories just in our rearview I confess this week may seem somewhat bland but be assured God is still moving and teaching. Therefore instead this week I will share about my reflections on the ministry and work in Kenya to-date. What will hold and what seeds have fallen on the rocks or on the dry ground?

Wakati wa Chai: March 2009

http://wakatiwachai.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Sunday, March 22, 2009. So Taylor got a kid named after him. Colin, Stefan and I are having an impact here too, its just that Taylor's is a bit more exciting and blog-worthy. Also, Brook was the second choice for the baby's name, I know you were wondering. Stefan has returned to Chepilat after spending a week and a half in Nariobi. Church members becoming more involved in the services and church business. We're gonna see some big animals this week (Lord willing)! Monday, March 16, 2009. We are now far fr...

Wakati wa Chai: Kalabashes!

http://wakatiwachai.blogspot.com/2009/04/kalabashes.html

Wednesday, April 22, 2009. After 14 weeks of seeing God work in, through and regardless of our efforts here in Chipolet, the sending off process is underway. The word has somehow escaped into the town that we are leaving this Friday. At any given time or place friends, acquaintances and strangers alike have been saying to me, "Block, you are leaving us soon? Counting it all joy,. 4 months of wonderful growth and service in Chipalet. God is alive and kicking in Kenya. Smooth transition as we leave Chebelat.

4 Spanish Roses in Barcelona. Journey with us throughout our 6 months in the beautiful country of Spain. Friday, March 20, 2009. Here's a few pictures . enjoy . These pictures are from our vacation to North Africa. A big part of our vacation was a camel ride through the Sahara Desert. To get to the desert, we had an 8 hour car ride. In all honesty, I was not too terribly excited for the long ride, but in all honesty, I think it was the best long car ride I've ever had! A view from the side of a mountain.

Kipe Adventures: October 2008

http://kipeadventures.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

Sunday, October 26, 2008. This weekend we got to spend at home. It was great. We didn't have anything to do and so we could just relax and enjoy being with our family. We're heading back to HDC tonight to get back into everything. Please ask us questions about anything. Sometimes it's hard to know what you want to know about and so it would help us out if you left comments or questions. We'll try to do a better job of keeping this thing updated. Thanks for all of your continued prayers!

Thursday, April 30, 2009. On Sunday the 26th of April, our family threw us a baby shower since we won´t be here when the baby comes. (By the way, for anyone who hasn´t heard yet, Jenny is 4 months pregnant with a baby boy! It ended up being a baby shower/ birthday party since my (Jenny) birthday is on the 27th. The only requirement our family gave us is that we need to come back when our baby is walking so they can meet him! Shaunhe´s enjoying being pregnant way too much! It was a pretty big party. Kipe Adventures: November 2008

http://kipeadventures.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

Saturday, November 8, 2008. Well the past couple of weeks have been really busy. We had the opportunity to help out in a few soup kitchens and homeless shelters. Our team (Shaun, Jenny, Gina, Leo) got to pray with an older gentleman in the streets that we met, named Freddie. He wanted us to pray for forgiveness in his life. He had AIDS and was living in an AIDS shelter. We were so excited for this morning as we were able to take nice hot showers. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

http://kipeadventures.blogspot.com/2011/07/so-i-decided-that-its-time-i-updated.html

Friday, July 22, 2011. So I decided that its time I updated everyone on our life. A lot has happened in the 2 years it's been since our last post. We're back to the States and we've been living with Shaun's parents trying to save enough money to buy a house of our own. And the biggest change of all is our sweet little Landon! He'll be 2 in October! It keeps him busy and he's still learning the ins and outs of pastoring such a large youth group (about 120 7-12 graders! But he's having a great time learning.
