When Did This Become a Farm? Homesteading, Homeschooling, and Homemaking in the PNW. August 11, 2015. When Box Fans Attack…Or I Broke My Nose. I haven’t driven yet between the painkillers and concussion, but think I will be able to in another couple of days. I hope so, anyway, as my husband just went back up to Alaska tonight. Anyway, that’s why I haven’t blogged for a while. Today I dried 8 trays of basil and 1 tray of garlic. The garlic was the last of what I had from last year’s braid. W...Leave a Rep...

When Did This Become a Farm? Homesteading, Homeschooling, and Homemaking in the PNW. July 24, 2015. My cousin’s daughter died today. She was not much older than my daughter. I can’t stop crying. Her life was just starting. I wish I could stop thinking about it. They are so far away from most of the family. I know she is with the Lord now and that helps my head, but it doesn’t do much for my heart right now. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. 3 thoughts on “ Devastated. July 24, 2015 at 9:24 pm.

When Did This Become a Farm? Homesteading, Homeschooling, and Homemaking in the PNW. July 31, 2016. Lots of Meat Processed and in Two Weeks I’ll Have to Do it Again. I have been so busy this week. On Sunday we butchered 5 rabbits, two of which were 8 pounders and the rest were not that much smaller. On Tuesday we cut them up portioned out enough for 2 dinners, then deboned the rest and ground it. I also made rabbit jerky with the abdominal flaps and the result of that was to fill a quart size baggy.

Save Green Going Green. Know anyone who uses energy? Take advantage of the “Solar Flare”! Storage Locker Treasure’s. Guest Post: Non-Toxic Pest Control Methods for the Organic Gardener. July 11, 2015. Great organic ways to control pests. I use the canola oil but I mix with it dawn dish soap instead of the ivory soap. I think it works just the same myself. I never knew about the “milky spores” but I will try that as grub season is in full swing. Thanks, enjoy the post. Aquaponics Australia and Solar Energy.

You’re at the best WordPress.com site ever. Asymp; 1 Comment. While looking out our living room window this morning I saw a most incredible sunrise that I have to share with everyone. It makes me appreciate that we are living where we are when I see such a sight. It makes all the hard work worth it. It had warmed up over night so I stepped out with just a light sweater to snap as many pictures as I could. Larr; Previous post. Next post →. Thought on “A awesome sunrise”. When Did Slavery End. Slavery Is Not For Anyone. WHEN DID SLAVERY END. November 30, 2013. WHEN DID SLAVERY END. So when did the slavery end? Officially it’s over, but some people can’t let that go, some people still think less of the African-Americans. So, is the slavery over, or still the black people are prisoners in their own bodies because of some people who were taught to be racists? A change in mentality. Slavery ended in 1865 in the US but it still goes on in different forms. We may not use sl...

When did the kids take over?

Monday, September 9, 2013. I had the worst time last night. I tried leaving a comment on a friends' mission blog and couldn't for the life of me remember how to sign in. I spent nearly 45 minutes trying to retrieve data from info I couldn't remember. I finally found my old info and was able to sign in. In all this process, I realized that I haven't updated my blog in over a. What a year it's been. I don't remember most of this past year. Without Josh, who now drives, I don't know what I would have done.
