I haven’t posted in a while so I feel an update is needed, especially because there are a few things I haven’t talked about that I should. 1 I don’t think I’ve mentioned this, but ever since Oregon I have gone by a new trail name, Bright Eyes. There were too many Old Schools on trail which was causing a lot of confusion in the registers! I should have mentioned this much earlier but it has constantly slipped my mind! Sierra City to South Lake Tahoe.

My solo thru hike from Canada to Mexico. Siead Valley to Etna. August 30, 2016. August 30, 2016. I woke up late this morning which made me mad because I wanted to try and beat the heat. I knew I had a big incline to get out of the valley to start my day as well. The incline was about 15 miles but it was very gradually, only about 5 miles of it was really steep. It was a nice hike and the heat wasn’t bad since we were climbing out of the valley. There were so many deer just hanging out at the spot too.

I was kind of going to Ashland with no plan and hoping things would fall into place. There was no clear cut option for me to choose at this point.
