The Kettle's On . . . I've put the kettle on, so come in and make yourself comfortable. Get out your knitting or whatever craft you want. And don't mind the dogs, they'll settle down. Friday, July 06, 2012. More Scotland Posts Are Coming! These 102-degree temps are wreaking havoc on my MS and I am moving kinda slowly. Sorry for the delay in new posts, but I am working on them! Here's a pic of me on the ferry leaving Oban for the Isle of Mull. Aaaahh. I wish I was there now. You must be exhausted!

The Kettle's On . . . I've put the kettle on, so come in and make yourself comfortable. Get out your knitting or whatever craft you want. And don't mind the dogs, they'll settle down. Tuesday, November 15, 2011. Way back in September, I started planning and even knitting some Christmas presents. I was so proud of how early I was starting. I. Was not going to be crazily knitting all night just to get gifts in the mail to be received by Christmas. I. OK, don't want to fall into the pride hole again, but I ...

The Creation Story: OB Visit #1,273
http://babyduffeebraun.blogspot.com/2010/08/ob-visit-1273.html
Chronicling our journey into parenthood. Thursday, August 26, 2010. OB Visit #1,273. I'm skipping over a month's worth of Braxton-Hicks contractions, a wonderful baby shower, a visit to Nashville where I had a fantastic time with some of Wesley's family, and mundane details about late pregnancy and how adorable my nursery is. Oh, and insomnia. Most of you have been able to read about these things on Facebook. August 31, 2010 at 5:31 PM. This comment has been removed by the author. OB Visit #1,273.

Doctor Pistachio: October 2013
http://doctorpistachio.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
For the spewing of humor and rage, the melding of life and intellect, and any other news from Seattle. Sunday, October 06, 2013. Our fabulous new house in Kansas. We bought a house! It's a lovely 2-story, recently built (2006) suburban home on a cul-de-sack only blocks from a great elementary (and close to our new daycare! And near a great 5K 'urban trail' and bike route. We are about 5 miles from campus (only about 15 minute drive) and less than a mile from Hy-Vee (Hy-Vee! I have so missed you! And now ...

Doctor Pistachio: June 2013
http://doctorpistachio.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
For the spewing of humor and rage, the melding of life and intellect, and any other news from Seattle. Sunday, June 09, 2013. Layla's a bit too young to go to a movie theater, but she can watch a movie all the way through so when we saw this ad for a movie night at the community center in our neighborhood we were all in. We went, and had a blast. Layla did great! Probably soon, when she responds to our suggestion to 'shhhhh! We'll be able to take her to an official theater. In the 'hood of Wallingford.

Doctor Pistachio: Lawrence restaurant - Genovese
http://doctorpistachio.blogspot.com/2014/12/lawrence-restaurant-genovese.html
For the spewing of humor and rage, the melding of life and intellect, and any other news from Seattle. Sunday, December 07, 2014. Lawrence restaurant - Genovese. The Studly Hubby and I are on a mission to find our new favorite restaurants in Lawrence. We've already discovered a few gems (Wheatfields, Little Saigon and Wa Sushi) and a few clunkers (Marisco's). Then there are the old standbys; Chipotle, Famous Dave's and Jimmy John's, that are somehow more exciting in a new city. I was born and raised in I...

The Extension: September 2006
http://whiteleescottage.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Where all our resources e.g. money time and effort have gone since February 2003. We sometimes feel like it will never be finished. . . . Saturday, September 09, 2006. Now it turns out that the concrete floors are about an inch too high. Bugger. The poor Man of the Place has to cut grooves in our concrete to accommodate the heating pipes. This is causing more dust than anything else that has been done to date - including the knocking down of 200 year old internal plaster walls! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
