Nelly Face: April 2009
http://nellyface.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 6, 2009. It's a Ruff life. Sunday, April 5, 2009. Today Wonder of the World closed. I was the assistant stage manager and wardrobe mistress, and let me just tell you, I am so happy it's done! Not that there weren't fun parts, because there were, but I just do not want to be an assistant stage manager EVER AGAIN. Forget about it. Anyway, gaze upon the clown. Saturday, April 4, 2009. Behind it, she's a crazy person. Here's some poor sewing machine drowning in fire proof fabric. Its a Ruff life.

Nelly Face: Israel
http://nellyface.blogspot.com/2009/01/israel.html
Sunday, January 4, 2009. Baruch atah Hashem Elokenu melech haolam, shelo asani goy, shelo asani aved, shelo asani isha. This is an old jewish prayer that says "Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who did not make me a Gentile, who did not make me a slave, who did not make me a woman." As I am about to travel to Israel, I feel the obvious need to make up a new prayer. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I miss you I love you and Yarn! View my complete profile.

Nelly Face: August 2008
http://nellyface.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 30, 2008. In which I go on a slightly insane political tangent. Kids Could they be any cuter? 160;Just keep bringing those kids out, its like having a panda. No one can resist the cute. Vote for me! And did a much better job) Pretty much all of the presidents had about thirteen kids, except for George Washington, who was too neurotic, and James Buchanan, who was probably gay. So I decided to just find some highlights. David, John, Julia, Lachlan. Trot and Tad. Nabby. Most Bad Ass ...

Monday, April 6, 2009. It's a Ruff life. Please tell me someone's going to wear that around their neck. April 12, 2009 at 1:24 PM. I'm not sure wearing it around the waist is a whole lot better. I'm just sayin'. April 14, 2009 at 5:03 PM. This comment has been removed by a blog administrator. December 28, 2009 at 3:24 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Its a Ruff life. Nelly Face: May 2008
http://nellyface.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 31, 2008. Drew me the most beautiful thing! I wish to always be surrounded by leafy-ness and wild life. I wish I could have sheets or a sweatshirt or something printed with this repeat! Some Santa Fe Yarn. Some other knitting minded people at the Opera took me to see some Santa Fe yarn stores. My favorite was the Santa Fe School of Weaving. Here's a picture of the dye lot, but I'm going to get it in super fine silk wool blend. Its fifty dollars! But you get 300 feet. We'll see. It was the m...

Nelly Face: June 2008
http://nellyface.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 28, 2008. Nora sent me the best package! Not only does it have a zine. She made for our quilt. That was in two shows in Baltimore, it also contained some beautiful yarn she spun herself. She wrote me a little loving note that said the only condition of me using this yarn was that I tell her how she can improve her spinning! It's a pleasure to work with handspun yarn! Now all I have to decide is what I want to make. It has to be something worthy! Monday, June 23, 2008. Will it be okay?

Nelly Face: October 2008
http://nellyface.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 13, 2008. If you were overwhelmed by the New Englandy-ness of my last post, you better look away, because my mom and I just went on a wool arts tour. Of New Hampshire. The Blimp, which has followed me from Holland, smiled upon the fibersy-ness of our trip. I think my favorite stop was at the Chauncey Farm. Ellen Dumas told us all about getting into sheep farming (something Mom and I have been really interested in, ever since I heard about. The mill in Mora, New Mexico. And the landscape w...

Nelly Face: July 2008
http://nellyface.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 29, 2008. I went to the Spanish Festival in downtown Santa Fe on my one day off. The visual culture here is just so different than the old protestent greenery of the north, it never fails to shock me a little bit. I met this amazing woman selling beautiful weavings and yarn she had spun in a mill that she built herself in Mora, New Mexico. Here's the website for her mill: http:/ www.tapetesdelana.com/. Who knows what the future holds. But in the meanwhile, fibers! Monday, July 28, 2008.

Nelly Face: Big Sewing.
http://nellyface.blogspot.com/2009/04/big-sewing.html
Saturday, April 4, 2009. The Hubbard Street Dance Company hired me to make a backdrop. It was so huge that we laid it out in one of the dance studios. Behind it, she's a crazy person.
