Wilfredo was born in Cajamarca-Peru and studied Zootechnic Engineering, specialized in improvement of livestock and smaller animals. Judith was born in The Netherlands, but grew up in Peru. She studied Environmental Engineering and specialized in Environmental Education working in Spain and Peru.
