According to Jane Miller Hellwig, Hawes School was not yet completed "in our day." Although you attended 6th grade at Somerville, your K-5 years may have been at Union Street School! Jane reports that the Union St. School building is still there, converted into offices, including the Renfrew Center, a facility for women with eating disorders, based in Philly, but with satellite offices.
