Now that Andrew is in Kindergarten, he is considered "school age," and requires a new eligibility diagnosis in order to continue to receive services. Currently Andrew receives speech, physical and occupational therapies at Pierremont. Andrew spends an hour Tuesday and Thursday mornings working with his therapists at Pierremont before starting his day at CPOP. The Bruemers are here!

A Visit with the Vehige's. Andrew and Nathan Special Needs Trust. Monday, December 9, 2013. After dinner we went for a ride through Tilles Park to check out their Christmas lights display. We all loved seeing the entire park glowing - it's always such a sight to see. This has become a favorite tradition for our family and tonight we were able to share it with Percy and Polly, Andrew's classroom pets :). Snug as a bug with Percy and Polly. Some of the lights. Percy's and Polly's favorite - of course :).

A Visit with the Vehige's. Andrew and Nathan Special Needs Trust. Friday, November 29, 2013. It's become our tradition to put up all of our Christmas decorations Thanksgiving weekend. While Steve and I were cleaning up after Thanksgiving dinner, Andrew took it upon himself to start after the decorating :) He was able to reach one box which then led to getting the Christmas tree up and ready for ornaments. I loved his eagerness and willingness to help - such a good, little worker! Doing such a great job!

This morning Andrew had Grandparents' Day at school while Nathan had his Halloween party :) Both boys were excited for all of the festivities and then to finally get to trick or treat tonight! Our little Navy Aviators :). Too cool for the shades. Andrew taking inventory :). It was a success! Wednesday, October 30, 2013. Cleaning out the insides. Getting all the way in there. Definition - One of nine types of muscular dystrophy, a group of genetic, degenerative diseases primarily affecting voluntary muscles. Cause - An absence of dystrophin. This afternoon Andrew's kindergarten class performed a play for the entire school and all of their families. Each child had a speaking part which they had to memorize and they all did fantastic! We were really proud of their accomplishment and very impressed by these little 5 and 6 year olds :). Andrew's debut - one of the three wisemen :). Posing for pictures after the play. My next door neighbor hosted a party last year that ended with an overwhelming amount of support with donations to the boys' trust. A Visit with the Vehige's. Andrew and Nathan Special Needs Trust. Saturday, December 14, 2013. We went ahead and celebrated Christmas early while Todd, Laura and the girls were here. The kiddos couldn't believe we were opening presents already :) It was nice to just sit back and relax and not rush for once. Sometimes the holidays end up being more stressful trying to fit everything in - not this year! Nathan and Daddy :). Super excited for a "100 piece" puzzle! Nathan opening a present.
