http://theneipertnarrative.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Trying to understand why we do what we do. Monday, November 17, 2014. Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues,. But the parent of all the others. Cicero (106 - 43 BC). I am thankful for heated seats. Pick-up was cold today! Christopher is thankful that the heat in my car works really well. Harrison is thankful for our neighborhood. We live in a nice neighborhood with no bad people. (I can only hope you are right, buddy.). Bennett is thankful for electricity so we can see stuff better at night.

The Neipert Narrative: November 2013
http://theneipertnarrative.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Trying to understand why we do what we do. Sunday, November 10, 2013. Unselfish and noble actions are the most radiant pages in the biography of souls. I am thankful to be able to go see a lecture given by Amy Tan. She was amazing. Witty, smart, humble and honest. And she is a great author and we all know how much I love books! Christopher is thankful that I was not in the car when 'fucktard' hit the Alero. (He really has a way with words.) :). Bennett is thankful that Dad was home all day. Bennett is th...

The Neipert Narrative: Food Trucks
http://theneipertnarrative.blogspot.com/2015/06/food-trucks.html
Trying to understand why we do what we do. Thursday, June 25, 2015. We choose not to stay and wait for food, but our appetite was wet! The boys and I got our first chance this afternoon. We stopped by Chef Ott's Asian Cuisine. And got some great food. We agreed by far that we had the most wonderful crab rangoon ever! We ordered the Pork Fried Rice, Pad Thai and the Banh Mi Style Sandwich. The sandwich was also out of this world! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Arts Fest Day one. Being Committed by An...

The Neipert Narrative: January 2013
http://theneipertnarrative.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Trying to understand why we do what we do. Thursday, January 17, 2013. Bennett is going through a bit of a trial and error stage when is comes to managing his emotions. When he is upset we get to glimpse the dramatic side of our 5 year old. Recently he was told he couldn't wear his clothes to bed. This is the reaction I got. I am mad at mom. I love making my kids happy, but this dramatic, angry/sad stage has it's perks. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. The Help by Kathryn Stockett.

The Neipert Narrative: October 2013
http://theneipertnarrative.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Trying to understand why we do what we do. Tuesday, October 1, 2013. Fall is most definitely in the air. I made soup this weekend, leaves are piling up and we are in jeans, sweatshirts and flip-flops. I love the changing seasons. It was a long afternoon. Harrison was fading fast as his temp was climbing and Rocco had had enough! And rolled down hills. Parenting and co-parenting can be very hard, but really, there is nothing better than watching them be happy. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Under the Tuscan ...

Trying to understand why we do what we do. Tuesday, January 7, 2014. My Iowa State Cyclones are amazing. They always have been and they always will be. The college campus is a dream. Picturesque. Inviting. Historic. The people are the best. Friendly. Helpful. Caring. (I mean, come on - it's the state of Iowa! I couldn't believe the news when I heard Iowa State had hired Fred to be the head basketball coach. What a dream come true! Back where he should be. Home. Tomorrow night the unbeaten women, with a r...

The Neipert Narrative: Officially Summer
http://theneipertnarrative.blogspot.com/2015/06/officially-summer.html
Trying to understand why we do what we do. Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Bennett finished his 2nd grade year with Mrs. Watson (same teacher as Harrison had for his 2nd and 3rd grade years) his favorite parts of the year were all the cool projects, especially the rocks unit and over the summer he will miss his friends the most. To celebrate the end of school and the beginning of summer I went a little Pinterest crazy! Which was perfect because nothing is better than cuddling up on a cool summer night. One more ...

The Neipert Narrative: Water Wednesday
http://theneipertnarrative.blogspot.com/2015/06/water-wednesday.html
Trying to understand why we do what we do. Wednesday, June 24, 2015. One of our summer goals is cooking so tonight Bennett (with very little help from me) made us chocolate chip cookies. And they were good! He loves to cook but I worry too much about the stove and oven. I HATE burns! But I'm trying to loosen up and trust in good decisions as the summer goes on. Tomorrow Harrison tells me that he is making French Toast Muffins. Sounds delish! Harrison is in the middle with the black trunks. All There Is -...

Trying to understand why we do what we do. Thursday, November 13, 2014. I am thankful for nights that turned into mornings, friends that turned into family, and dreams that turned into reality. I am thankful for Costco. I love that silly warehouse store! Christopher is thankful that we are only one day away from Friday. It has been a hectic week in my new role. Harrison is thankful for the Thanksgiving season. I like that Mom makes us tell her what we are thankful for. Bennett is thankful for the playroom.
