Wye Valley Visitor Centre has two furnished outdoor picnic areas, one paved which overlooks the Miniature Golf Course and one on the lawn. The lawn is also a popular place to spread out a cloth for a picnic in the sun. Schools often like to get under the umbrella of the great willow tree’s leaves and make it their base for their trip here. Customers of the Wye Valley Visitor Centre also have access to indoor picnic facilities in Rose’s Picnic Refuge, which has the atmosphere of a large conservatory.

Our simple parish church has been a haven of serenity and sanctity for over a thousand years. The patron saint is the celtic Dyffrig (pronounced Dubric, hence Dubricius in Latin). His legend, in which water is the common theme, is a mystery of redemption, yet has all the character of a rain charm. You can find the story inside the church. Assistance Dogs are welcome in all public access areas and enclosures except the Butterfly Zoo (Zoo regulations) and Laser Ops (hygeine) enclosures when working and in an identifying harness. Dogs under training to be Assistance Dogs are similarly welcome under the control of an accredited trainer. The Butterfly Zoo, Maze, Miniature Golf and Laser Ops enclosures and Tearoom are not for pets. You can’t take them in or leave them unattended, and our staff cannot take on your duty of care for your dog.
