Wie ben ik, waarom geef ik yoga? In 1976 ben ik afgestudeerd aan de Haagse Academie voor Lichamelijke Opvoeding, zelf net 21 jaar kreeg ik een volledige baan op de Libanon Scholengemeenschap in Rotterdam als docent Lichamelijke Opvoeding. Daar heb ik een geweldige tijd gehad, waar ik veel creativiteit in kwijt kon. Helaas heb ik in die tijd iets te veel van mezelf gevergd en kreeg ik dusdanige rug en heupklachten, dat ik na 13 fantastische jaren met het vak Lichamelijke Opvoeding moest stoppen.
