The Kingston Murre…. On December 5, 2013. There I was painting a female Dickcissel for “The Birds of Brazil” when a phone call from MK got me all on edge. “Have you heard about the Thick-billed Murre in Kingston? It was as simple as that. One look at the photos posted on e-bird and I was pretty excited already. I was somewhat less excited about the prospect of getting out of bed at 3 in the morning though, as may well imagine. However, one has to suffer from time to time I guess…. Only time would tell.
