Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Apple going for cheaper components? Tue, 26 July 2011. Apple is now more willing to ship various integrated circuit modules from Taiwan-based IC design houses as a way of reducing iPad’s bill of material (BOM). If Apple can sell a gazillion of the current generation of iPads for 499 , they can sell a gazillion of iPads of the next generation for 499 . Why would they cut prices if they already can’t keep up with the demand? This entry was posted in Mac.

Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Closed clamshell mode in OS X Lion ↯. Sat, 23 July 2011. A nice touch. In 10.7, Apple changed the way you activate the closed clamshell mode on your portable Mac. Now, when you close the lid of your MacBook/P/A while having input devices, an external monitor and the MagSafe connector attached to it, it no longer goes to sleep but straight to closed clamshell mode. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. My take on Application Exposé in Lion. Sat, 30 July 2011. Mission Control, Lion’s most advertised feature isn’t really all that new.
