In most school’s math is taught wrong but that’s just my two cents. I’ve only had a couple of really good math teachers but the bulk of what I learned about linear algebra came from coding. Anyone can start picking up some high level mathematics quickly if you go about in the right way. Modulo Operation and Arithmetic.
