Mission Beach Café | A Few Reservations
https://afewreservations.wordpress.com/2008/08/13/mission-beach-cafe
Ubuntu rocks me. Again. August 13, 2008 · 6:36 pm. This one’s gonna be a toughie, friends. I want to rave about Mission Beach Café. I really do. For starters, I had a fantastic evening there. (But I suspect that had to do with the company.) And I have to give them huge props for offering a vegetarian entrée that. Literally, we wondered if they’d messed up the order and served us the same thing. And for both of them, the flavor was meh. Not bad, just meh. Totally. Was it worth eating again? Oh, man, I fee...

Opaque: Dining in the Dark. Mission Beach Café →. August 12, 2008 · 5:40 pm. Ubuntu rocks me. Again. Did you ever meet someone who’s absolutely beautiful in every way? I mean, gorgeous to look at, kind-hearted, thoughtful, the whole package? If I didn’t love the place so much, I’d have to hate it, because it’s just too perfect. It makes other restaurants look bad. Okay, maybe I hyperbolize. But Christ, the place is good. Check out my original review. For more gushing praise. The Anson Mills Farros with Y...

March 10, 2009 · 2:40 pm. How can I miss this? Just read my Tablehopper. Newsletter, and saw this:. Wednesday March 18th is the next THREE ON FIVE BEVERAGE BATTLE AT FIFTH FLOOR. Just my luck, I’ll be in DC on the 18th, for one night only. So promise me, if you have the means, go. Support them so they’ll do more veggie stuff. I’m all stressed that it’ll flop because of the economy, but they’ll blame the vegetarians. Us animal-snugglers always get the stink-eye of suspicion in these matters. You are comme...

A Half-A$ ed Post →. November 6, 2007 · 7:28 pm. Ubuntu: Can I Get an Amen? I’m so freakin’ happy about Ubuntu right now, I barely know where to begin. Truly. I’ve started this review two or three times already, and erased every previous attempt. To catch you up on the scuttlebutt, Ubuntu. In short, Ubuntu is a vegetarian epicure’s dream come true. I moved on to a Kohlrabi Soup, with raw Kohlrabi and its sprouts. (Cut to our lunch table, and me whispering, What the fuck is a Kohlrabi? The soup was nothin...

Albion Cooks: Asparagus and Leek Quiche
http://albioncooks.blogspot.com/2015/03/asparagus-and-leek-quiche.html
Vegetarian * Delicious * Healthy. Saturday, March 28, 2015. Asparagus and Leek Quiche. I roasted the asparagus in the oven at 400F degrees for 15 minutes. It's easy to overcook, so check it often. You want it to retain some bite. Toss with a little lemon juice if you like. Once cool enough to handle, I sliced the stems in rounds and kept the tips to decorate the top. Turn the oven down to 350F degrees to cook the quiche. Bake for about 35 minutes. Good hot or cold! Posted by Catherine at 11:09 AM. Cream ...

Vegetarian * Delicious * Healthy. Sunday, August 14, 2011. Millennium Cooking Class July 2011. The last day of July took me back to Millennium. The high-end vegan restaurant in San Francisco, for another vegan cooking class.Taught by Millennium's Executive Chef Eric Tucker. Vegetarian * Delicious * Healthy. Monday, March 16, 2015. Kale, Leek and Potato Pizza for St Patrick's Day. The smell of leeks cooking in butter has filled the house with deliciousness! My St Patrick's Day dish this year is a pizza with leeks, baby greens, very thinly sliced potato, and Dubliner Irish Cheddar. And, of course, I used Kerrygold butter for the leeks. Vegetarian * Delicious * Healthy. Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Black Bean, Brown Rice and Kale Salsa Bowl. I'm trying out the "no sugar, no flour" lifestyle after two friends have had great weight loss success following this plan. As you are relying on grains and starchy vegetables for carbs on this plan and there's lots of fresh vegetables and proteins to prepare, you have to commit to a fair amount of food prep (no grabbing a quick bagel! Here's the easy recipe. Black Bean, Brown Rice and Kale Salsa Bowl:.
Albion Cooks: Millennium Cooking Class: September 2012

Vegetarian * Delicious * Healthy. Tuesday, October 02, 2012. Millennium Cooking Class: September 2012. Last weekend, I enjoyed my 23rd cooking class at. Francisco's incredible vegan restaurant. Executive Chef extraordinaire. I made two variations of the class dishes the following day, so I think there's a lot to be said for simplicity and contentment. I'm a big believer in small plates with lots of complex flavors, so I was delighted to work on Socca. Chickpea flour flatbreads) with a variety of tasty si...

Vegetarian * Delicious * Healthy. Monday, January 24, 2011. Millennium Mushroom Class Jan. 2011. Well, first of all, a belated Happy New Year to everyone! Although I've been cooking, I haven't blogged about it lately. Partly due to the fact that my natural light for photographs is gone by dinner time and partly to the fact that I've been making a lot of Borscht. I just can't get enough of the stuff! That said, it was all about the mushrooms yesterday at my 18th vegan cooking class at Millennium. The seco...

Seen on the pages of the heavily circulated Juxtapoz Magazine. And popping up in advertisements, commercial goods, and television shows, Lowbrow is everywhere. Sometimes referred to as Pop Surrealism or Juxtapoz. The academization ...

A Few Roos Loose
A Few Roos Loose. Living On The Dole: A Quick Retrospect. I guess I’ve always wanted to write about this and because I remembered I have a blog which I hardly use for anything at all, I reasoned that I can probably do it here. So what would I consider myself an expert in? I’m about six months off graduating university with my Bachelor of Computer Systems Engineering, so maybe that? Comparatively, I guess. Anyway, he once put forth in response to all of those “Teach Yourself XYZ in 21 Days! For a programm...
