A Few Reservations | Dining outside the vegetarian ghetto
March 10, 2009 · 2:40 pm. How can I miss this? Just read my Tablehopper. Newsletter, and saw this:. Wednesday March 18th is the next THREE ON FIVE BEVERAGE BATTLE AT FIFTH FLOOR. Just my luck, I’ll be in DC on the 18th, for one night only. So promise me, if you have the means, go. Support them so they’ll do more veggie stuff. I’m all stressed that it’ll flop because of the economy, but they’ll blame the vegetarians. Us animal-snugglers always get the stink-eye of suspicion in these matters. And let me te...

A Few Reviews
Thoughts on contemporary art and reviews of exhibits in New York City. Friday, July 18, 2014. Intro to Lowbrow Art for Dummies. Sometimes referred to as Pop Surrealism or Juxtapoz. The academization ...

A Few Roos Loose
A Few Roos Loose. Living On The Dole: A Quick Retrospect. I guess I’ve always wanted to write about this and because I remembered I have a blog which I hardly use for anything at all, I reasoned that I can probably do it here. So what would I consider myself an expert in? I’m about six months off graduating university with my Bachelor of Computer Systems Engineering, so maybe that? Comparatively, I guess. Anyway, he once put forth in response to all of those “Teach Yourself XYZ in 21 Days! For a programm...

For a few rounds more. Adventures in miniature wargaming. March 5, 2015. Wargaming the Franco-Thai War. January 31, 2015. Opened in 2008, the Museum Siam. Features state-of-the-art displays primarily aimed at kids (think lots of games, interactive screens, and photo props). That flourished between the 15th and 18th centuries. My favourite of the bunch: ...

A Few Rows Up
What a Weekend to Be…a CLEVELAND Fan? Absolutely, and it felt great. The Cavaliers got it all rolling with back-to-back victories over Philadelphia and Washington on Friday and Saturday nights, and the Browns added the exclamation point with a resounding 34-14 thrashing of the New England Patriots on Sunday. For three days, anyway, it was great to be from Cleveland. What’s cause for even more celebration is that the wins have been all about. It’s what being a Cleveland sports fan is truly all about.
