Adventures in a Mommy's Chaotic Kitchen. Wednesday, July 8, 2009. Scalloped Potatoes with Ham. This is another Pioneer Woman recipe. Well, it is adapted from this recipe. By PW (that recipe alone is fabulous also). These potatoes are not healthy at all, but ultimate comfort food and a great use for leftover ham. It was a little warm for these the other day, but I needed to use up the ham and was craving these. Scalloped Potatoes - adapted from a PW recipe. 4 to 5 russet potatoes. 8 ounces cream cheese.

A lot of my kitchen is still in boxes, and given the hour I get home most nights (last night I stumbled inside at 10 pm), cooking has not been happening. I usually eat frozen dinners. But this week I was so sick of them, so on Sunday I actually cooked. 1/2 lb ground pork sausage. 1/4 C chopped green pepper and onion. 1 1/4 C water. 3 T butter or margerine.

Idag var en underbar dag! Vaknade vid halv tio typ, åt frukost, drack kaffe ute i solen bland annat. Sedan bestämde vi oss för att åka till en sjö. Det finns inte så många sjöar här runt omkring så vi var tvugna att åka en timme ungefär för att komma till en. Det var varmt i vattnet och vi simmade från ena sidan till den andra, spelade strandtennis osv. Cirka 37 grader varmt hela dagen. Skönt! 2012-08-18 @ 22:25:47 Permalink.
