A Runner's Story. Under a Full Moon. Posted by Ed Mahoney. Asymp; Leave a comment. Karen and I returned to the Bear Lake Trailhead. Last night, this time with a 3 car caravan of friends, to hike under a full moon. Doubtful you can make anyone out from my blurry photography, but there are 15 of us, standing here on the frozen Nymph Lake. Beautiful night for a hike in Rocky Mountain National Park. A Runner's Story. Posted by Ed Mahoney. Asymp; Leave a comment. This morning’s 5K race was a collaBEERation between two Longmont Brew Pubs, Left Hand and Shoes and Brews. I planned to run with Ellie, but she paired up with Susan instead. I have some closer up photos of them finishing together, but this one captures Susan with both her feet airborne, and the two peaks of the Twin Sisters in the upper right. Jen, Steve and Jill enjoyed some tasty brews as well. Posted by Ed Mahoney. Asymp; 1 Comment. The t...

Boulder Marathon | A Runner's Story

A Runner's Story. Posted by Ed Mahoney. Asymp; Leave a comment. My next training focus might be hills. The Denver Marathon in October is entirely uphill. What sort of nut job race director charts out a marathon course completely up hill? It looks like maybe miles 3 and 13 might be downhill. The course runs up an apparent 90 foot cliff at mile 9. I have a month to prepare. In Fort Collins. The options are never ending. Comment with some suggestions. What are you planning to run this fall? Asymp; 2 Comments.

100miles | A Runner's Story

A Runner's Story. Posted by Ed Mahoney. Asymp; Leave a comment. Which mirrors my plan. I won’t have a sense of how effective uber distance training is until I run the marathon. I’m not expecting to run faster, rather hoping to run more comfortably. Specifically over the final 10K. If you’ve ever run a marathon, then you know how unpleasant those last six miles can be. I also have a sneaking suspicion I’ve become addicted. Terry Collier on Carriage House. Terry Collier on Nacogdoches. November 5, 2016.

Let's Run Homey!: October 2011

http://letsrunhomey.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

Some notes about training and keeping the pup pooped. Wednesday, October 26, 2011. 60% Whole Wheat with Oatmeal and Chia Seeds. Baking bread is something of a hobby for me. It's one of the reasons I could never become a "Paleo" dieter - grains are off the menu. The reasoning. Seems sound, but frankly I like grains and legumes and that is that. Here's the recipe, I'd give cups and tablespoons, but I use a scale because of the variability in weight of a cup of flour. 300g Whole Wheat Flour. During the rise...

Let's Run Homey!: June 2012

http://letsrunhomey.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html

Some notes about training and keeping the pup pooped. Friday, June 22, 2012. From crappie.com (really). That's pretty much it. Once Deneb is in school, I can easily find time here in Bolivia to train for Leadville (and perform the way I'd like), but right now, the pleas of, "Papa, peas don't go run." Are too much. Can't do it. Must sneak out during the nap. And the naps are getting shorter. Hopefully with Deneb pacing me for the last 50 meters. We'll see about that. Posted by Jay Austin. Day in the life.

If so then the M M/ Robert Frost Trail from Harris Mountain Road to the Notch Visitor Center is for you. The route starts flat for about 50 yards and then the climbing starts. A Runner's Pursuit

A Runner's Pursuit. July 29, 2016. Going With the Flow. Luckily, she did make it to me. I was able to get back on to my board, grateful I held on to my paddle instead of ditching it like I thought I might earlier on, and was back on my knees. We checked the time, and we had only been paddling for half an hour, and that whole ordeal only lasted about 10 minutes, even though it felt like hours. July 4, 2016. A Runner's Ramblings

Thursday, October 16, 2014. Living large in the child-free lane I ran down busy urban streets, jumping on and off the sidewalk never slowing to cross the road. I may have even run on the wrong side of the road! Is the husband going to be home? Is he going to want to run, b/c only one of us can go early? At the coffee shop? Did I call and check on my pint-sized friends? Monday, October 13, 2014. YTT weekend 4 - Half way there! Why do I love this work that I will never get paid for in a studio? Inhale....

A Runner's Ramblings

A Runner's Ramblings. March 29, 2015. Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. Norman Maclean. For the first time this spring I took my glow-in-the-dark, winter-white-legs out for a run in shorts. Vanity is one personality flaw that I work at overcoming every day – today was no different – looking down at my legs, I almost chose to cover up those lilly-white things! What will the neighbours think? The whole world does not revolve around me, it isn’t all about me. What it is,.
