English Teacher and Media Educator. Merry go around the world. I usually spend one lesson telling stories about Africa. I lived in Zimbabwe, Harare, for three years between 1988 and 1991. Life was quite different. The memories that I have from my childhood there usually capture the imagination of students of all ages and prompt them to ask questions. I sometimes use a mind map. To tell my story and play a song or two by the South African musician and member of the anti-apartheid movement, Johnny Clegg.
