Room 7 - Mrs Young. Wednesday, 28 March 2012. Tuesday 19th March 2012. Our second day at Borland Lodge. Today the weather was great. We did a rotation of lots of different things including. We learnt loads about river crossing including how to read a river so we can work out where it is safe to cross. Some of the things we learnt about were eddies, weirs, strainers, obstacles, rapids, currents and up-turners. We also learnt that there are no seals at Borland. Us having a go. Room 7 - Mrs Young. Tuesday, 27 March 2012. Monday 19th March 2012. Our first day at Borland Lodge. We left school at approximately 10am. We stopped for lunch in Lumsden and spent sometime on the playground. They have a very cool slide and a tractor made out of tyres! Balclutha Primary should get one! A few people had to change cars due to car sickness. (or was it the driving? When we arrived we thought the cabins and the other facilities looked amazing! We were very impressed. It was too small to eat.

Monday, 23 July 2012. Shared writing about our field trip to Lake Tuakitoto Wetlands. On Wednesday (Wenerei) we had a trip to the Wetlands. The weather started raining when we got to the park in Kaitangata. We had hot chips, sauce and bread at the park. It was scrummy. We had a play in the park. The slide was fast, and it was wet!
