The Community Water Plant. There is a Global Water Crisis. 11 billion people live without clean drinking water. While the world's population tripled in the last century, the use of renewable water resources grew six-fold. Within the next 50 years, the world population will increase by another 40-50 %. This population growth - coupled with industrialization and urbanization - will result in increased demand for water and negative consequences on the environment.
