Monday, July 18, 2011. Leanna said I could put the photos from their trek up Shasta Bally on my blog. This is probably the closest I will ever come to hiking this trail! I had the privilege of watching Trent while they were hiking up the mountain. The descriptions of the photos are in Leanna's words. On the way up, not too far into the trail. Liked how this tree made a bridge. Maybe a mile or mile and a half up the trail. Our first big rest, about 1/2 way up. First glimpse of the lake. We hiked to snow!

Saturday, March 26, 2011. Today I went to Turtle Bay to see how high the river is and to also walk across the river on the new bridge they recently completed on Highway 44. It rained and rained this morning but by mid afternoon the weather was quite nice- 55 degrees out, beautiful clouds with a background of a gorgeous blue sky. Exhilarating! Saturday, July 2, 2011. On the way home from the Veteran's Cemetery today I stopped at a lookout over Clear Creek. In the fall of the year their is a large salmon run that you can see when you look down at the creek. The water is crystal clear. At this time of year you can see swimmers that have braved the trek down the trail to Clear Creek. It is a beautiful view. Posted by Our Family.
