Along for the Ride...: Step one...
http://journeyoftheclaypot.blogspot.com/2011/04/step-one.html
Along for the Ride. Thursday, April 14, 2011. Thanks for your prayers! I got a temporary visa today that will allow me to travel outside the country and re-enter for up to three months. After that I have to stay until the decision is made on the work visa. But YAY they are letting me go. :) We can attend our wedding! Went to the Greek consulate as well but the guy who "may" be able to help me was out sick. I'm sure he was on strike. These are Greeks after all! Labels: Life in Oz. 4/14/11, 7:11 PM. Go, Sh...

Along for the Ride...: Cluck.
http://journeyoftheclaypot.blogspot.com/2011/04/cluck.html
Along for the Ride. Sunday, April 10, 2011. I attended my first ever "hens' night" last night. We would call it a bachelorette party, but being in the spirit of the queen as they are here (they drive on the wrong side of the road, for goodness' sake), it was a bona fide hens' party. And it was for me! Me with Deb B, Jeannie (part of the family I live with), and Deb F. My new "in laws" - Kate (cousin), Margaret (aunt), "Mummo" (Grandma in Finnish),. Cathryn, Adele (Andrew's sis), and Amy. 4/11/11, 7:47 AM.

Along for the Ride...: March 2011
http://journeyoftheclaypot.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Along for the Ride. Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Here's my hair (since Andrew cut it). And a funny face. :). This means we got our engagement photos back! I'll post our favorites soon.). Pic of the day. Saturday, March 26, 2011. Today, on March 26, I finished my book for February. Only 26 days late. I am considering revising my goal to one "need to read" book every two. Months, rather than one. I believe in setting myself up for success. ;). Sex Trafficking: Inside the Business of Modern Day Slavery. Still...

the next step: March 2010
http://hhorsch.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 31, 2010. I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's Love. Indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus." Ro 8. For Easter this week we delivered a special Greek sweet bread called "Tsoureki" to the girls working in brothels. And in response to many requests by the Nigerian girls, we collected, wrapped and delivered 80 Bibles and bookmarks to the girls working on the streets. A familiar song but su...
the next step: musings on the Greek good...
http://hhorsch.blogspot.com/2010/12/musings-on-greek-good.html
Wednesday, December 8, 2010. Musings on the Greek good. There is much I'll miss about Greece when I go. Here's a few from the A-List. Y call it "MWJ". Muwaj". It stands for "Mornings with Jesus". It involves relaxed mornings, a cup. Some reading. Staying home until late morning is an infrequent occurrence in my homeland and will be. Seriously, so efficient, so clean and nothing makes a great story like one that involves a jam-packe. Tro on a 100 degre. Om A to B. 3 My language s. 5 This lovely quilt.

Along for the Ride...: December 2010
http://journeyoftheclaypot.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Along for the Ride. Thursday, December 23, 2010. Almost time to go. We leave in the morning (Friday) for Seattle! It's been a year and I can't wait. Because of the time zones, our Christmas Eve will be 42.5 hours long, complete with 3 flights and 25 hours of traveling. That is pretty gnarly; we are going to be a barrel of laughs when we arrive mid-day, definitely ready to party that night. ;). Saturday, December 18, 2010. Wednesday, December 15, 2010. Wow, that is a milestone. Who knows how I started eat...

Along for the Ride...: Step two...
http://journeyoftheclaypot.blogspot.com/2011/04/step-two.html
Along for the Ride. Friday, April 15, 2011. The nice people at the Greek consulate have submitted the proper form and copy of my passport to request a penal certificate to affirm that I am not a criminal in Greece. Hurray! It was so much easier than I ever dreamed. The last thing I'll need to do is get fingerprinted in the States to have a background check and then it should be smooth sailing for my work visa. I hope I have black fingers in my wedding. PS My dress came in today! Labels: Life in Oz. Jamie...

Along for the Ride...: I miss bananas
http://journeyoftheclaypot.blogspot.com/2011/04/i-miss-bananas.html
Along for the Ride. Monday, April 18, 2011. What a poor deprived country I live in. Because of the hurricane in Queensland in February, our banana prices have been soaring - because most of them were destroyed. I think they are about $13/kilo at my local supermarket at the moment. I can't argue with the prices as the markets try to support the farmers who lost so much of their crops. It just means that bananas are truly a treat these days. Labels: Life in Oz. 4/19/11, 1:35 AM. Hey write me back. How to S...

Kelsey not in Malaysia | Kelsey's art and adventures
Kelsey not in Malaysia. Kelsey's art and adventures. In a word, this week has been hectic. Work has been busy. We are planning for Earth Day, promoting current students, hiring new student and finishing up the year. Although I feel a bit overwhelmed, I am also full of pride as I see the incredible accomplishments my students have made. It is exciting to see things come to a conclusion, especially when my students are completing meaningful projects and doing work they care about. The city is happy. It was...

On my way...
I am on my way to Ghana, Africa for three months! This is where I will be posting all the stories and adventures. Thursday, June 08, 2006. Home, sweet home! Since arriving in Canada almost two weeks ago, I have been incredibly slow to blog. I appologize for those of you waiting to hear about my first few days at home but I can assure you that it truly was not half as dramatic as I'd been forwarned! Finally I was home! Again, I want to say thank you to everyone who helped along the way. As mother Tere...
