Boy 1: "There's nothing holding me back now! Boy 2: "Yeah, except your mother.". Kids, telling it like they see it. Labels: Life at the Library. Theres a story there.somewhere. Author and Illustrator Interviews. Monday, July 30, 2012. I Survived Muskoka Novel Marathon 2012. Yes, I survived. More than that actually: I loved it! Imagine 72 hours to do nothing but write as much as you like. Heaven! You could take time out to eat and sleep if you wanted/needed to. Meals were provided and prepared by and the lovely den mother Mieke, who even did our dishes afterwards (and didn't kick me out on the first day when I spilled my coffee). http://flattperspective.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Author and Illustrator Interviews. Monday, January 30, 2012. An Impression in the Snow. A couple Mondays ago my youngest daughter came rushing into the house. She'd seen a really cool bird in the backyard. But even better, she'd seen it swoop down and scoop up a mouse right off the snow and fly away with it! Practically vibrating with excitement, now she wanted to know what kind of bird it was. Then she told me she'd also seen the tracks of the mouse trail and the owl's wings. Wait, tracks? After I got o...
