childhood, uninterrupted: July 2013
http://childhooduninterrupted.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Getting there. sometimes grating, sometimes gliding. Thursday, 25 July 2013. I find myself with time to spare, so a little catch up is in order. I should like to note the arrival of the new heir to the throne. I am a big Royalist, and it makes me happy to see the British Monarchy thriving and drawing interest from around the world. I am also happy that I have earned myself £45 from betting he would be called George. Heh heh. O joy to the world. And this is me today:. Is this the standard of eye care I ca...

childhood, uninterrupted: I knew it was a mistake
http://childhooduninterrupted.blogspot.com/2014/10/i-knew-it-was-mistake.html
Getting there. sometimes grating, sometimes gliding. Friday, 24 October 2014. I knew it was a mistake. To buy Maltesers AT ALL. Well, here we are again. We have enjoyed three weeks of high days and holidays, starting with a week in Ibiza at the beginning of the month. This was a real bargain holiday, coming in at £886 for the three of us, all inclusive, flying from our local airport, three miles up the road. Me likey muchly. I am not exaggerating. Oh, and I got a big ol' haircut:. Then I put a dye on it.

childhood, uninterrupted: Fish Face
http://childhooduninterrupted.blogspot.com/2014/09/fish-face.html
Getting there. sometimes grating, sometimes gliding. Friday, 19 September 2014. I woke up this morning with a sandpapery feeling in my eyes. This is not my cat. To discover the cat was licking my eyebrows and sockets with fervour. I screwed up my eyes for fear she should lick off the top two surfaces of my eyeballs and tried to brave it out, as it is truly an honour that a cat should deign to take a break from licking it's own arse to give you a wash and brush up too. In no particular order:. This is the...

Getting there. sometimes grating, sometimes gliding. Friday, 31 January 2014. Couple of crochet updates:. The join-as-you-go Mosaic blanket is coming along nicely at 8 squares (minimum before I can stop) per day. I spend a further 2 hours per week (usually when Oliver is otherwise occupied with lessons in something and there is no escape for me elsewhere) crocheting middles, so I never run out during a session. I also started this:. They are peach coloured Converse. Friday, January 31, 2014. I had no mor...

http://childhooduninterrupted.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Getting there. sometimes grating, sometimes gliding. Wednesday, 12 February 2014. Surprisingly, there is rain. I have just written a whole blog post, with pics, went to amend a capital letter 'A' and wiped out the whole lot with a keystroke. Screaming obscenities at the screen and thumping the keyboard with my fist has not made it reappear, so I am reconciled to doing it all again. How words can make one weep. First I was banging on about the weather. Have entranced and bored me within one hour. This is ...

Getting there. sometimes grating, sometimes gliding. Monday, 21 July 2014. I have a new thang. I happened across these on you tube when browsing art journaling. As you may, or may not know, art journaling is a hobby I have on the back burner waiting for an opportune moment to burst forth with stunning creativity. I currently use a Filofax. I think I will be able to fulfil all my notebook yearnings in one hit, so roll on payday where I am planning to indulge in a little Midori lurve. Just four more days t...

Getting there. sometimes grating, sometimes gliding. Thursday, 20 June 2013. Of cabbages and kings. As the walrus said. It's been so long mes amis. I'll start with the biggest news. A few weekends ago we travelled to Birmingham NEC, where Oliver competed in the UK National Pokémon Trading Card Game Tournament. You can see Oliver, wearing the black hat, in this clip at about 1 minute 25 seconds along. To cut a veerrrry long day short, he won! Championships in Vancouver in August. In a moment of weakness, ...

Getting there. sometimes grating, sometimes gliding. Monday, 16 June 2014. One is need, lots is greed. Having a few log in probs with Google, so future postings may be a little erratic. Well, that coupled with utter laziness is a recipe for failure ce n'est pas? So, lots been goin' daaaan here. We've had a holiday (and a couple of breaks too, lucky us) and Oliver has turned 12. The weather has turned nice, and the garden is yet again out of control. Think Day of the Triffids. And ate (most of) this:.
