March 17, 2015. Saturday morning was such an exciting day… Our Thermomix arrived! It was great going through the functions again and also so exciting to think we could have a play. Our first recipe we made was the vegetable stock, using the recipe from the recipe chip. Wasn’t sure I’d get much use out of the stock but I think we will. Had heard a little bit about this machine and all it could do. It wasn’t until my first demonstration in January that I was really keen. Camp Fire slow roast lamb. We spent a amazing few days camping at Lagoon Bay on the Bangor Property in Dunalley. How lucky are we in Tassie to be able to catch our own seafood and to give our children this experience. Proper recreational licenses are required of course but anyone can do it. But the best meal of the camping trip was this slow roast lamb it was amazing! It is worth going camping just to cook this! Camp fire slow roast lamb. 1 large leg of lamb. Heat your camp oven on the side of the fire.

Bangor Wine and Oyster shed second birthday. We had a lovely afternoon at Bangor wine and oyster shed celebrating their second birthday. The kids had a ball in the sand pit and cubby house catching up with their friends while I relaxed tasting all the new release wines, they were all delicious! Alice is the most amazing photographer I got a few brilliant tips on portrait photography from her today! Barky teaching oscar how to raid the till! Oscars sand coated Ice-cream. Some nice light on the way home.

Preheat Oven to 350 degrees and prepare to round cake pans. I like to butter and flour them, but a little non-stick spray will work too. 3 cups Cake Flour. 2 cups Granulated Sugar. 1 teaspoon each of: baking soda, ground cinnamon (I like Saigon), and salt. 1 cup Veggie Oil. 1 teaspoon of vanilla paste or 1 tablespoon of extract.
