Dressing Change | My ACL Hell
https://myaclwoes.wordpress.com/2011/11/15/dressing-change
My HemiCap and ACL Surgery Blog. Skip to primary content. November 15, 2011. Had my first V.A.C. dressing changed today….it wasn’t pleasant to say the least. The nurse and consultant pealed back the dressing and syringed in Xylocaine and Adrenaline to try and numb the area as much as possible before pealing out the foam. Most of the dressing came out ok but there were a few areas which were excruciating. Have to look forward to this three more times before they can close up the wound…woop woop!

49 year old weekend athlete tears ACL skiing, has it surgically repaired. Surgery, rehab, results. I tore the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in my left knee skiing at Mt. Wachusett. In central Mass. on January 18, 2007. This is a common injury to weekend warriors like myself, so I thought others might like to know what happens once you've done something unfortunate like this to your body. Tuesday, August 9, 2011. I have to just say, that my dr did the most fantastic job. When I prayed and asked for a good surgery, I never anticipated my knee could come out of it in pre-injury shape. Saturday, April 30, 2011. 2 moonths post op, and I am doing fantastic! Last weekend, I rode a trail ride, and Iwas so sore on my inner thighs! It hurt so GOOD! Out of the woods!
