Freedom_to roam_roadtrip

Freedom to roam roadtrip. Saturday, August 1, 2015. Ham’s Orchard: More of a time than just a place. I have been craving fresh fruit, specifically tree-ripened. Peaches and there is. A place we love to go in the summer. Just a twenty minute drive east to Terrill Texas is a fresh produce oasis where time magically slows even if for just long enough to eat their homemade ice cream. There are all kinds of jellies, honeys, syrups and veggie preserves. I must admit I want to try everything and every time ...

Freedom_to roam_roadtrip: Getting out there again: View from a kayak

http://roadtrippingnow.blogspot.com/2015/03/getting-out-there-again-view-from-kayak.html

Freedom to roam roadtrip. Sunday, March 29, 2015. Getting out there again: View from a kayak. Camera phone image of Lake Texoma showing the clarity of the water. This will probably be my next painting. I am working on getting back to the simplicity and beauty of water and how light reacts on its surface and even more important through its depths. It's been a long time since we have kayaked and today we broke a streak. I remembered what I didn't like about kayaking, the stiff legs, awkward tangling of lin...

Freedom_to roam_roadtrip: December 2013

http://roadtrippingnow.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html

Freedom to roam roadtrip. Monday, December 2, 2013. Things we learned as of last evening-by the way this post has been prerecorded-but here it goes. Last night my son and I spent the early hours of the evening making a fire, lesson 1-it's not as easy as Bear Gryllis would have you think, or is it? It was an amazing day and the evening even got better visiting Turner Falls and Tucker Tower but the amazing thing is the peace and serenity of nature which I have only recently begun to rediscover.

Freedom_to roam_roadtrip: A visit to Gulf Breeze Zoo

http://roadtrippingnow.blogspot.com/2015/07/a-visit-to-navarre-zoo.html

Freedom to roam roadtrip. Wednesday, July 29, 2015. A visit to Gulf Breeze Zoo. How fun can it be to take four young adults to the zoo? I would say more fun than a zoo full of…. Well you know and yes we did see lots of monkeys. It was hot, unseasonably hot and I had several moments of feeling a bit faint. We got to feed all the birds, the found our shoes tasty. They swarmed us and I heard a sound that is also not often associated with the teen who seems eager to rebel against just about anything, the...

Freedom_to roam_roadtrip: February 2015

http://roadtrippingnow.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html

Freedom to roam roadtrip. Sunday, February 15, 2015. And for our next trip. I am at a bad time in my road tripping life. My son would rather be home than out and about-he blames it on the money we spend but I know better. We're getting closer to the time when he will have a job and the possibilities get smaller and more narrowed. I' m not doing good with this but I am all about compromise. So assuming it were just a selfish act of going and exploring, I took my own day yesterday to go the zoo and explore...

Freedom_to roam_roadtrip: September 2014

http://roadtrippingnow.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

Freedom to roam roadtrip. Sunday, September 21, 2014. Caladesi Island State Park Florida. How far is too far? Out of cell service, unprepared, stressed-. Our whole trip was originally planned around a trip to Kentucky and more specifically Dale Hollow Lake. We were going on a guided smallmouth bass trip and hoping the elusive fish wouldn't skunk us again. I should have realized how far off the map we were when we arrived at the lake with no cell service. Next on our agenda was Gatlinburg. How far is too ...

Roadtripping Norway by bike

Roadtripping Norway by bike. Onsdag 3 september 2014. After 42 days and 312 (norwegian miles) I arrived at the southernmost point in Norway which is Lindesnes Lighthouse. Highlights were The Troll path where the road twists in 11 hairpin turns and Sognefjellet which is the highest road I've been cycling, 1434 meters above sea level. Thanks for stopping by, now I will return to my regular blog and I will be spending a few days in Sweden before going back to Lofoten! Söndag 31 augusti 2014. In february 27,...

The Great American Road Trip

The Great American Road Trip. Thursday, June 26, 2008. After over two weeks on the road, I finally made it to the big apple. It feels great not to sit in the car or sleep in a motel anymore. Leonard and Jen–cheers! I manage to get some skateboarding in which is a great way to see the streets of NYC. Me and Leonard, family reunion at the skateboard park. I think a great way to settle into a new city is on a skateboard. I want to know the city from street level up. Blogged with the Flock Browser.
