Monday, 30 June 2014. TRAMPS: Morwell - Newborough. 06 July. Vance's account from Sunday. The tour through the winding road to the south side of the highway was, as usual mostly an exciting coast down hill before the sharp rise over the bridge. We were presented with some “heavy sea fog” or fine mist near the end of the ride, but the slightly leaking cloud very soon passed. It was a great ride finishing in good time for the obligatory cuppachino at Maccas. Enjoying a warm cuppa. Monday, 23 June 2014.

Our Chief Statistician managed to calculate using his simulated HP15 application, on his new smart phone, that we had 19 riders at Boolarra. It was good to see so many riders, as the day was ideal and the route in top shape. Early on the Limonite. This girl displaying altitude. Just checking those rider numbers. Monday, 31 March 2014. SADSAC: Longford - Seaspray 06 April. The ride itself started with the major effort for the day with the run up the South Gippsland highway. Once clear of the first few kilometres the terrain flattens out and the rest of the run to Stradbroke was much easier. Due to the steady cool breeze we set up by the shop and fortunately the showers that had caught us on the way out had finished. Some took advantage of our location to warm themselves up with some chips. More of the group.

Monday, 25 August 2014. TRAMPS: AGM 31 August. Monday, 18 August 2014. SADSAC: AGM 24 August. The weather was looking rather menacing as the members assembled in Sale for the pre-AGM ride. This meant that lunch was a bit early but after some procrastination the BBQ was lit and the midday meal was prepared. We did manage to get some extras for the lunch and meeting with Bridie and Graham, Phillip and Shirley and Betty joining us. Cathy was on hand to entertain them during the ride. Rides take place every second Sunday and generally range from 50-60 kms in distance. Riders are asked to bring their own lunch, and drink bottle. The club provides tea, coffee, cordial and cake. All rides are accompanied by a sag-wagon (back-up vehicle) for riders who wish to take a rest from riding, or if they have a bike break-down that is not able to be fixed on the spot. Riders are requested to register at the departure point 15 minutes before the scheduled time of departure of 10.00 am.
