Wednesday, June 13. Lacy Leaf Water Bottle Carrier. I came up with this cute little carrier last year. I put my bottled water in it, place it over my shoulder, and keep my hands free to shop. It's a good use of scrap yarn plus a small exercise in lace knitting in the round. I made mine with a ball of leftover Brooks Farm Yarn Four Play. Lacy Leaf Water Bottle Carrier. Size 7 double points. Worsted weight yarn (about 60 yards - less than 1 oz). 9 oz plastic bottled water (about 8" around). 6/14/07, 8:31 AM.

If you can do a chain stitch, double crochet and half double crochet stitches, you can make these simple ball toys. CROCHETED CAT “ROLLIES”. Crochet hook size G or H. About 4 yards worsted weight yarn (scraps are good). Large eye jumbo tapestry needle. Pattern is now available through Ravelry. I volutneer at a no-kill animal shelter plus have six cats of my own!

This was a very quick and simple knit although it did require a bit of math and attention for the border. It was first experience with felting and I like the results. Bernat Felting Natural Wool or any other bulky weight wool yarn. CO 66 stitches on straight needles. I was having one of those days where you don't want to touch your wips. 1 ball of Caron simply soft quick (100% Acrylic/ 50 yd) in Blue Mint. 1 set of size US9 (5.5mm) double pointed needles. 2 buttons note: I used two different sizes. Darning needle, sewing needle and thread. Cast on 56 stitches and separate evenly onto 4 dpns (14 stitches on each needle). Work garter stitch for 4 rounds (knit one round, purl next round), ending on purl round.
