Fifty-Two Stitches: February 2010
http://52stitches.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 28, 2010. If You See a Fisherman, You Better Look Away. Alice pushed her mother around the park. It was a cold and blustery morning, a miserable day. A fine, dirty rain drenched them both. At one time, her mother would have called it ‘mucky weather’. They came to the park every morning, come rain or shine. Alice needed to get out of the house. The fisherman broke the connection. He walked past Alice and out of the gate. Alice stood gasping in the Memorial Garden. She looked around...

Fifty-Two Stitches: January 2010
http://52stitches.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 31, 2010. Javier was in charge of OR cleanups because he was careful. Every box of gauze, every scalpel, every monitor was back in the proper place when he was done. He had been working at Pres for ten years now, and liked it much better than his previous job at Our Lady of Mercy. Too many priests and nuns around there, all of them decked out in their work clothes. He licked his lips. His lips parted to allow his tongue to snake out, slowly running along the rim to catch the splatters, wh...

Fifty-Two Stitches: Mother's Love
http://52stitches.blogspot.com/2009/05/mothers-love.html
Sunday, May 10, 2009. Ben couldn’t cope. That’s why he left, his stale breath smelling of whiskey and fear. He packed a bag on the night his four year old son came home to die and left. A single fucking bag. Shirt cuffs poked out of the zipper like hands rising from a grave. Rachel watched him go and found that she couldn’t cry. Didn’t want to cry, she realised. A part of her didn’t blame him. A small, ugly part of her. She had the first dream that night. Sleek rats crawled and writhed at their feet, gna...

For the Love of Classic Monsters: As If I Need Another Copy of Frankenstein...
http://classicmonsters.blogspot.com/2011/10/as-if-i-need-another-copy-of.html
Monday, October 10, 2011. As If I Need Another Copy of Frankenstein. An edition of Mary Shelley's. Laid out using characters and glyphs from PDF documents obtained through internet searches. The incomplete fonts found in the PDFs were reassembled into the text of Frankenstein based on their frequency of use. The most common characters are employed at the beginning of the book, and the text devolves into less common, more grotesque shapes and forms toward the end. Posted by Aaron Polson. Places to Find Me.
