http://steverakar.blogspot.com/2014/03/update-4-gdc-prototype.html
Dyll's Quest for Funk. Lost in Lie Station. Wednesday, March 12, 2014. Update #4: GDC Prototype. As I kinda mentioned last time, I'm going to GDC next week! Aside from those two major tasks, the rest of my time has been spent adding polish and replacing anything that was still whiteboxed. There are now pipes all over the sewers so that every area is accessible. And the game now has fully functioning ladders! There are also crates to climb on! Speaking of fun stuff, here's a bouncy collectible! There are ...

Steve Rakar Art Blog: January 2015
http://steverakar.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Dyll's Quest for Funk. Lost in Lie Station. Friday, January 30, 2015. Whoa, It's 2015 Already? Global Game Jam Writeup and This Year's Plans. It's not overly ambitious and (as long as this goes live in the next 24 hours), I think it's completely attainable. First things first, this is an illustration that I've been working on for fun. It was intended to be my "first drawing of the New Year," but I've kind of been dragging my feet on finishing it. Which I interpreted as some sort of disaster scenario.

Dyll's Quest for Funk. Lost in Lie Station. Saturday, August 24, 2013. And So It Begins. Well, after months of Michelle Rakar. Trying to convince me to start blogging, I finally gave in and made one. I'm not sure if I have much to say that people will be interested in reading, but I guess it's a good way to keep track of what I'm working on. I'll try to post on a somewhat regular basis. but no promises! Lastly I recently left my position at Brrapp Games. We parted ways on positive terms, so there wer...

Steve Rakar Art Blog: GDC Post Mortem - Part 1
http://steverakar.blogspot.com/2014/03/gdc-post-mortem-part-1.html
Dyll's Quest for Funk. Lost in Lie Station. Thursday, March 27, 2014. GDC Post Mortem - Part 1. I spent 5 days in San Francisco, and man was it exhausting! I only bought an Expo Pass, but that gave me access to more than enough events to keep busy throughout the week. The first place I went when I got to the conference was the Career Center. and that was so big itself I didn't even realize there was a whole separate Expo Hall! Spent quite a bit of time playing Ittle Dew there, which was a ton of fun.

Well the whirlwind of excitement from GDC has come to an end and I've finally had the chance to sit down and write about my experiences. As the title of this post mentions, the VR presence on the show floor this year was almost overwhelming. Hopefully some of that advic...

Dyll's Quest for Funk. Lost in Lie Station. Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Well, so much for posting on a regular basis. It's already been over a month since my first post! I kept thinking "Hey, I should post something. but I don't have enough new stuff to talk about." Well, I took care of that concern. This has been the most productive month I've had all year! I have so much new stuff to post that I think I might split it into 2 different posts. This is an office in my UDK game, Corporate Ladder. Why I...
