The Brighter Side of Life. Embracing the awesome adventure of life. It’s Time to Spread My Wings. April 23, 2015. Have you ever been stuck in an old story, an old vision of yourself? Maybe it’s a story that was comfortable or held significance for you, so you held on tight to that vision even if it was limiting or outdated. That’s where I’ve been for awhile now. I stepped up to what I felt called to do, and haven’t looked back since. Well, until a year ago. You see, last spring I started a new blog.

Encounters with amazing nature in a 21st century urban concrete jungle. Our planet is AMAZING. Humans are as much a part of nature as are plants, animals, rivers, rocks and soils – we are all part of the same biological, chemical and physical systems, cycles and processes as each other. Wherever we are, however built-up an area is, there is always sky above us, small plants growing atop walls and tiny animals going about their daily lives. A weed is just another name for a brave and slightly naughty plant.

Monday, June 18, 2012. Exploring PEI : Argyle Shore Provincial Park. We visited Argyle Shore Provincial Park today. This park is located about thirty minutes from Charlottetown on the South shore of the island, on the Northumberland Strait. Last week, we had visited PEI National Park on the North shore and we wanted to try the opposite side of the island this time. This beach was gorgeous. Red sand, rocks, tide pools, so much interesting things to look at! My favourite discovery was a little starfish....

This has never happened before so of course I was super excited. The best part is that the destination of the flight was to a smaller island in the BAHAMAS. The Brighter Side of Gluten Free. Product Reviews and Giveaways. Thursday, 18 June 2015. Most of my attempts at gluten free cookies end up dry, crumbly or gritty. It doesn't seem to matter how much xanthan gum I use. I guess the problem is with the flour, because these cookies are soft, smooth, dense and fudgey! Just a little bit of almond meal and a bunch of black beans make for one delicious cookie. 1 can rinsed black beans. 2 Tbsp milk (any kind). 2 Tbsp olive oil (or canola). 1/4 cup cocoa powder.
