Thursday, May 31, 2012. He will be working full time and also have benefits. This job came along in God's perfect time. We don't want that life anyway! Sunday, May 20, 2012. We got word last week that our dossier (AKA: big ole stack of papers important for the completion of our adoption) was in the DRC! Sometimes you just have to le...

Little Barn Homestead: October 2014

Wednesday, October 29, 2014. HOME Sweet Homestead: A Property Tour. This evening I took the camera around with me to photograph our little homestead. We've cleared away enough trees and brush and bush hogged the fields so you can actually see the property now. Here's a little tour of the outside. Our house is in the center of our property so we have fields all around us. It is also completely fenced. That's one of the reasons we loved it so much when we first saw it. This is a closer view of the side.

A Mama's bag of tricks: December 2012

Friday, December 14, 2012. Then, as I took off on my roller blades, this song. This world. is. not. our. home. Like the song says (go listen to it) "Jesus has overcome, And the grave is overwhelmed, The victory is won He is risen from the dead." I needed that reminder. I needed to be reminded that Jesus has won the victory over sin and all the sorrow in this world. 1Corinthians 15:55-57 "Oh death, where is your victory? Oh death, where is your sting? My time roller blading ended with this song. We now kn...
