Apple coconut pancakes | Food 4 Fit
https://food4fit.wordpress.com/2012/08/18/apple-coconut-pancakes
Raw Food “Diet”. Getting Healthy from the Inside Out. August 18, 2012. Nothing beats starting a Saturday morning than with wholesome, filling pancakes! Was for waffles, but after an unfortunate incident involving my waffle maker, it made me less than keen on using it! So I adjusted the recipe by adding more liquid and made pancakes instead! 1 tablespoon maple syrup (or honey). 1 tablespoon vanilla extract. 3/4 cup almond milk. 1 cups whole grain flour (or almond flour). 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. OUTER ...

Raw Food “Diet”. Getting Healthy from the Inside Out. Raw Food “Diet”. The first time I came across the term “Raw food-ist” was when I was applying for a job managing a raw food juice bar. When I had the interview, the lady hiring asked me “. What do you know about raw food diets. 8221; My lame reply was “. You eat everything raw. 8220;… duh! Needless to say, I didn’t get the job! However, eating all those vegetables raw can get real boring real fast! Needless to say, I was thrilled! And any good recipes...

Raw Food “Diet”. Getting Healthy from the Inside Out. August 19, 2012. When I tell my clients I’m planning on shifting to a Vegan (and as raw as possible) diet, I often get crossed eye looks. When the majority of people’s diets out there are (often) highly processed, nutrients cooked out of the food, and replaced with chemicals and fillers, it seems foreign for someone to willingly walk away from all that convenience. But with proper planning and preparation, eating Vegan is easy and Raw fairly simple!
Pumpkin muffins | Food 4 Fit
https://food4fit.wordpress.com/2012/09/16/pumpkin-muffins
Raw Food “Diet”. Getting Healthy from the Inside Out. September 16, 2012. When I made the pumpkin French Toast this morning, I couldn’t help but wonder what I was going to do with the rest of the (14oz) tin of pumpkin. However, 1/4 cup for breakfast left exactly 1 cup left for muffins! Killed two birds with one stone! Muffins were made for my husbands lunches during the week! Recipe would be good with raisins as well! 2 cups whole wheat flour. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 cup sugar free applesauce. Notify...

Raw Food “Diet”. Getting Healthy from the Inside Out. Pumpkin pie French Toast. September 16, 2012. Nothing says fall like pumpkin pie! However, having it for breakfast seems a little… Wrong…. 8230; Though I’m certain it has been done! However, I decided to give this a try… And yummy! I’m not a pumpkin pie fan… I know, so WHY would I make this? Well, a cool fall day screams pumpkin pie! 1/4 cup canned pumpkin (NOT pie filling). 1/2 cup egg whites. 4 slices thick bread. Serve with maple syrup.

Slow and steady… | Road to Competition

So you Want to Compete? But you said… →. Slow and steady…. April 23, 2014. I am not the most patient person… anyone who truly knows me knows I hate waiting for things. I tend to want things right NOW! I know that when it comes to getting healthy, it’s best to do things slow and steady to maintain, not only the results, but the habits. I can’t jump into the old weights I used to lift unless I want to hurt myself and/or become a cripple. But I KNOW I’m getting stronger. But you said… →. Fill in your detail...
My Diet | Road to Competition

So you Want to Compete? I don’t believe in “going on a diet” so when I refer to “diet” it’s what I eat- and I don’t deviate much when I’m not prepping for competition. Extra Lean ground turkey (I don’t like the raw consistency of ground chicken, but it’s just as good). Extra lean ground beef (max, once a week). Eggs/whites (I use both in breakfast as the yolks are full of vitamins/minerals). Lean steak (max twice a week). Salmon/Tuna (canned if travelling and no fridge available). Udo’s 3/6/9 oil. And th...

So you Want to Compete? The start of DERBY! Impatient to get started! March 19, 2014. My husband asked me this morning: “What changed? Between the last competition and now? My health has been suffering- emotional, physical… but I finally feel like I’m strong enough to carry on and really start reclaiming it… and compete again…. When my husband asked me that this morning, I realized I did, in fact, want- and need! 35/37 weeks are the 2 competitions I would aim for. I actually got excited again!
About | Road to Competition
https://outerstrength.wordpress.com/about
So you Want to Compete? If you had asked me 8 years ago where I would be, it definitely would not have been getting ready to step foot on stage in something scarcely bigger than some of my underwear! However, that’s exactly where I am! Feeling guilt from buying it, I would feel even more guilt getting rid of it (throwing it away) so I’d get rid of the evidence. I’d eat it all in either one sitting, or I’d hid the left overs and eat it later. When I added exercise, it came off even faster! What I was miss...

So you Want to Compete? Slow and steady…. No Rest for the Wicked →. But you said…. April 24, 2014. When I came out that I was going to compete again, my coworker looked at me and said “but you said you weren’t going to compete again because it’s unhealthy for you”…. 8230;Yes, I did say that. Having been 215 lbs makes it difficult for me to lose the weight and it’s so hard to keep it off, I usually just give up. I HAVE to continue to eat clean, and I HAVE to work out! I am not spending any more time in th...

So you Want to Compete? So you Want to Compete? I’ve had people ask me this before, so figured I would write my thoughts on the matter because there’s certainly things you can do right and wrong- and I’ve competed doing things wrong more than right! Hire a reputable trainer. What not to do:. Now, isn’t the point of hiring a trainer to do what they say? Yes… and no! Do you hold onto fat in certain areas? Do you have a flat ass? Do you like to run- as in marathons? So how to you choose a good trainer?

So you Want to Compete? Impatient to get started! April 2, 2014. A week ago I did my Force Fit test (and passed) and have eaten really well and worked out consistently (during the week) since… so why don’t I have a nice perky ass, rippling abs, and nice toned arms, dammit? I hate the waiting period between the start of working out and noticing a difference. I’m certain I can see changes- it’s hard not to when I was so bloated while being sick I could barely do up my uniform! Impatient to get started!

So you Want to Compete? Impatient to get started! March 25, 2014. Well, talk, talk, talk! No action… and I am SO impatient to get started, but the delay can’t be helped. I still feel like I’m recovering from having the plague a couple weeks back- having intermittent migraines, and now I have my Force Fit test for work on Wednesday- so I’m resting up for that. Instead of the hot yoga like I said I was… It’s all fine and good to go after work, but it’s a matter of GOING. I’ll still do SS Cardio in th...

So you Want to Compete? Newer posts →. The start of DERBY! September 16, 2013. I was concerned about derby today… yesterday I had been doing a photo shoot and a log I was leaning on disintegrated beneath me- it was rotten and dry and I didn’t realize it. I went down face first into a creek bed. The photographer thought I had broken a wrist or cracked my head open and was ready to call it a day- and we hadn’t even taken a single shot! So off to the practice I went! And how did it go? August 18, 2013.
