Living Barra: Our time in Barra de Navidad, Mexico: A Juice and a Prayer

http://livingbarra.blogspot.com/2011/03/juice-and-prayer.html

Living Barra: Our time in Barra de Navidad, Mexico. Tuesday, March 8, 2011. A Juice and a Prayer. For the past three years Jason and I have been dedicated juicers. With our handy dandy Jack LaLanne Power Juicer. And refrigerator drawer full of fresh leafy greens, carrots, beets and more, we are merry juicers about five mornings of the week. I have always missed my juices when I travel, and it is near impossible to find - if any - a good juice bar when traveling. Jason ordering un jugo verde. There was an...

Living Barra: Our time in Barra de Navidad, Mexico. Monday, March 14, 2011. The past four days - wrapped up like a burrito. From the buzz of a tsunami surge here in the marina, to attending one night of a nine day festival that honors Saint Patrick, the past four days have zipped by. The days have seemed to melt into one another and in this post I will try and wrap it all together. Thursday, March 10th. Turner looking very cool in his glasses as he and Jason lay under the palm tress. Friday, March 11th.

Living Barra: Our time in Barra de Navidad, Mexico. Sunday, March 6, 2011. La comida del West Star. The following are a few the tasty and colorful dishes we have made from the plentiful variety of fruits and veggies we are able to enjoy here in Barra. They are a big part of our diet. They serve as either a nice breakfast, a light lunch or a generous snack. We have fallen in love with the Mexican guavas, mangos, bananas, pineapples and oranges - they are incredibly sweet and oh so delicioso! Leah, thanks ...

Living Barra: Our time in Barra de Navidad, Mexico. Wednesday, March 9, 2011. The French Baker of Barra. What I am about to share with you is not really fair simply because my words and pictures could never do justice to the pure, heavenly magic that is the French Baker of Barra de Navidad. Almond croissant, raisin danish and a decaf almond milk latte - a very yummy breakfast! Turner hanging with Daddy as he enjoys his croissant and reads the local paper. But wait there's more. Living Barra de Navidad.

Living Barge Project: A Collaboration between Sarah Kavage and Nicole Kistler

What is the Living Barge? The Living Barge Project was a large-scale, temporary public art installation by artists Sarah Kavage and Nicole Kistler that was moored on Seattle's Duwamish River during April 2006. An industrial barge was filled with native plants, creating a temporary floating island full of ferns, shrubs and tree seedlings. At the end of the project, volunteers planted the plants from the Living Barge at Cesar Chavez Park in South Park. Here's the latest on how you can help. A new Duwamish ...

Wednesday, January 11, 2017. Building the Next ME. I've forgotten both how inconvenient and wonderfully awesome being sore after a workout is. Yesterday was tough. It was technically day 2 and Upper Fix day and, sure, my shoulders were a little sore but really the "issue" was my legs. holy hell my legs. I sometimes forget where I have muscles until a day like yesterday. But it was wonderful with each slightly uncomfortable, slow, lurching step :) because it means I'm growing again.
